I created the location of this monument, and afterwards I found out through research elsewhere that its actually a memorial to the fallen soldiers from Rsselsheim in World War I. The memorial itself doesnt specifically say anywhere on it that its dedicated to the fallen soldiers, but of course that makes sense.As a U.S. Army veteran, I think its good for a city to memorialize its fallen military veterans, even if they were on the wrong side. This particular memorial cant be seen for what it is by anyone thats driving by it, and its on a major street. I drove past it at least four times and didnt notice it until I was taking a walk one afternoon and turned the corner that its on. Its too bad for the men whose names are on the monument that it isnt more visible or easily accessible.
